Self-compassion is keeping a caring, gentle eye on my most important needs and desires—big or small and inner or outer—and giving yourself permission to do more of what brings you ease and energy, and less of what drains you.

How you start your day and finding your flow influences how productive you are. Be present.

Some of the most successful entrepreneurs understand the benefits of having an early-morning routine.  These famous creative minds knew that getting the most out of their morning routine meant finishing their day the right way.

The way you start each day is incredibly important. What you do first thing in the morning matters whether you’re a trainer, a writer, a small business owner or a busy mum and dad.

Some of the most successful entrepreneurs understand the benefits of having an early-morning routine.  These famous creative minds knew that getting the most out of their morning routine meant finishing their day the right way.  But a morning routine is only half of a productive day; the other is the evening routine that precedes it

Reading a good book is known to quieten the mind, lessens stress.

Share events of the day when sitting around a table.

Doing something completely different to your daily tasks can be energising.

Meditation is action. Our mind is much harder to quieten than our body. Our lives are busy and fast paced, filled with external noise and distractions. Clarity comes from focus, from finding that quiet space within.  Meditation, even in small amounts will make room for abundance.  If you are looking for answers go within, meditate and then let go.

A meditation tip: Practice stillness; be aware of how you breathe.

Taking your power back from others

One of the most ticked boxes from my Fitness Goal Planner is ‘How can I have more energy?’

Here’s six tips. How about adding some of yours? smile

1Wake up, sleepy head!
Unsurprisingly, lack of sleep is the most common cause of low energy, so try and get between seven and eight hours sleep a night. Dim lights at night. You can help yourself get a good night’s sleep by keeping to a pattern of going to sleep and waking up at the same time, whether you’re tired or not and making sure your bedroom is the right temperature and not too noisy. A good sleep is should be like a good meal, leaving you satisfied and happy with just enough room for a little bit more.

2Dr. Das wrote Thin people don’t skip Breakfast Raise glucose metabolism Energise to exercise!
Breakfast recharges your batteries and kick-starts your body and mind for the day ahead, then people wonder why they feel so sluggish when they miss it. If you don’t feel like eating first thing in the morning, have a glass of energy-boosting fresh fruit juice. Too rushed to eat? Try munching on fruit, oatcakes or cereal bars. For those of you trying to lose weight effectively eat regular meals starting with a ‘Power’ breakfast.

3. Move it!
Put a spring in your step. Just 15 minutes of exercise can make a huge difference to your energy levels. Too busy to exercise? Try walking that extra stop to the bus, taking the stairs instead of the lift or going for a brisk walk during your lunch break.

4Power Breathe
Feel like you are rushing around with no time to breathe? Stop panting and take a deep breath of fresh air. By not taking in enough oxygen, energy levels drop dramatically and this can even cause slight dizziness. Stop what you are doing and take five deep breaths. Breathe in through one nostril to the count of three and then exhale for six. Change nostril and repeat. Do this daily for an energy lift.

Take your power break!

5Dynamic Stretching ~ Stretch while you hydrate – Drink regular glasses of water!
Feeling creaky? Stretching is one of the easiest ways to release tension and boost energy. Stretching for two to three minutes will loosen your muscles, ease joints and allow blood to flow more easily around your body. Whether you’re at your Pc desk, at home or stuck in traffic, stretching as many parts of your body as possible will give you more energy and help relax you at the same time. Never take your neck and back for granted. Sit on a Chi Ball to ease your spine or curl up on the floor ‘like a ball’ holding the inner thighs close to your chests, as you relax the head and neck!

6. Take a walk on the wild side and have some fun!.
