Think Blue

The Morning After Dark And it’s the weekend and it’s here!!

Listening to Kevin Roberts Lecture – Saatchi & Saatchi? Worldwide CEO. Kevin Roberts shares his vision for the company and gives Wharton students a primer on his unique leadership style. Fail Fast, Learn Fast, Fix Fast. He advocates that insight and foresight are the future business as oppposed to ‘kill the idea at birth’. This clip was recommended by Sam Borrett.

He continues to encourage his students to ‘Learn with, feel with, live with consummers.
No point in being brilliant at the wrong thing’.

Be the best you can be all the time.

Inspirational Dreams. Intergration of passions. In Business he quotes from an Army Commander ‘Command Take Charge and Do what’s right!’

Networking chit chat – Who inspires you to aspire?

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Morning,

Have you seen Coco Chanel’s fashionable fairytale?
I was invited to see this incredible story of a lady who’s perfume “Coco Mademoselle” is one of my favourites. No matter which airport you fly into the name of Coco Chanel jumps out from every ‘duty free’ perfume display.

She gave us the little black dress, she gave us perfume, and she gave us the simplicity and comfort we craved in women’s clothing. She’s beauty and she’s grace. She’s France’s own Mademoiselle Coco Chanel, the Great Emancipator of women’s bodies, no longer enslaved to corsets.

“It’s the story of how she got there — a young girl of modest means in a man’s world, working her way up in her own right”. My experience of working largely in a man’s world ( motivating a workforce weekly ) has had it’s own liberating strengths. I connected with her determination and focus while admiring her tireless fashion creations, worn by so many beautiful women all over the world. She was a genius and driven from within.

Thomas – Connectedness – the power of social media and #smiles from Gower

The power of social media and smiles from Gower.

After chitchatting with Nathalie Jamois at silly hours this morning, I woke up to this – @gowernews: Awesome #Gower ‘dawn ’til dusk’ by local photographer Alun Morris Jones www.gowerscapes.com and I am in love smile It covers nearly every inch of sand, sky, rock, surf and sights I have ‘clocked up’ since I could walk. Being the youngest of three children, I frequently got my brother to give me a ‘piggy back’ to the top of the Cliffs, when I was too tired to take another step! There was always that promise of an ice cream, if you kept going until you reached the top!! A wonderful gift to send him and you.

Thank you Alun Morris Jones @GowerTwit and @gowernews for tweeting this absolutely amazing photography – a work of art – a gift and for making my Wednesday morning truely awesome. I’d love him to capture KC Louis skipping over the Golf links next time :~) x
